Dr. Elaine Ingham
Dr. Ingham has accumulated an extensive database about fungal biomass, bacterial biomass, protozoa, nematodes, microarthropods and mycorrhizal fungal colonization of root systems over the last few decades. These observations have come from all stages of succession, from agricultural systems as well as natural systems, and from every continent. This accumulated knowledge suggests a strong interaction between the food web of microorganisms present in the soil and the plants in each stage of succession (1985 – 2014).
